I LOVE WHAT I DO! FUN, EASY GOING, NO PRESSURE PHOTO SESSIONS !!
I am a work at home mother to 3 daughters-ages 10, 9, and 2. I have been taking photographs for 9 years. I left the "corporate" world of banking and finance to pursue my passion.
I started my photography business with one goal in mind-BE DIFFERENT. I wanted to provide quality photography at an affordable price.
I don't like the word "cheese"--I strive for natural expressions from your child--I believe that a pout is just as beautiful as a smile. I will encourage your child to play, to be themselves, to interact with me. While "traditional", posed photography is fantastic, it is not my style. I prefer to be more of an observer in order to capture the "true and real" qualities of my subjects. If you are looking for a more traditional type of photography, then I will happliy refer you to another great photographer. With me, you will get something that is different from the norm.
My mission is to have beautiful photos that can be cherished for generations by family and friends. My goal is to capture your special moments and make them last a lifetime!

Since there was an unbelieveable response to the watermelon pictures that I recently took (scroll down for example), I have decided to open up a day for watermelon patch mini sessions.
This is a crazy deal---I NEVER do sessions for this cheap!!
Date: July 27th (that's right--THIS Sunday--call fast!)
Time: 9am-12pm

This are super mini sessions--meaning 15-20 minutes long (PLENTY of time--trust me!!!)
You get 10-15 pictures edited on a CD with a release form for printing.
****This session is best for babies sitting up and older--not so good for those not yet sitting!****

You will all be receiving an email from me a few days prior to the shoot with details about directions, outfit suggestions, etc. Please remember to pay your session fee by August 1st. or you will lose your spot! Those of you who wanted to participate in this special, but didn't act fast enough, please email us at b4photography@hotmail.com and we will start a wait list---you can replace anyone who does not pay their fee in time. If I get enough of those emails, then I will open another date for another mini session special similar to this one.

I will be at Las Colinas Canal on Sunday, August 10th from 1 pm til 6:30 pm.
It is a great place for photos---especially family pics---so that is my offer--a "you call it" special. You can do family pics, newborns, babies, kids, maternity, etc. There is no extra fee for extra people so bring whomever you want. You will get 30 minutes of time with me --trust me, that is PLENTY of time to get some awesome shots. You will receive a CD of at least 25 edited photos with a print release form. As an added extra bonus, I will display one photo from each session on my blog and on myspace and will open voting for one week. The picture that gets the most votes will win an 11x14 gallery wrapped canvas portrait--a $150 value. Duplicate canvases will be offered to the winning family at a discounted rate---makes GREAT Christmas gifts!
The cost for the session is $150.00---interested parties must pay for their session by August 1st.
This is a great opportunity to get the entire family together for early Christmas card photos.
For those who are concerned with doing outdoor photos in the middle of summer--I assure you that this location is not bad on the heat factor!! There is an almost constant breeze blowing and we will be completely in shade the entire time. I might be sweating like crazy--but that's only because I will be out there all day running around!

I have all of my files, pictures, photoshop actions, and other various "extremely important to me" things off of my computer and am sending it off to *hopefully* be fixed.
I have updated software and a pen tablet that works (thanks Rich) on my other computer now and have kicked my kids off of Webkins temporarily so that I can get back to my normal crazy schedule and get caught up.
I really want to thank all of my clients---everyone has been so wonderful and understanding about this situation. People have called and told me to put others in front of them and that they are fine with getting them "whenever". That takes such a great deal of stress off of me--really.
I don't want anyone to be disappointed in what I do, but this one is completely out of my hands. Computers are great--but, sometimes, they just really suck!
I am soooooo happy that I took the time to back up everything before I left town---I would be in some serious trouble if I hadn't done that!
That is all--I am going to be an editing fool for the next couple of weeks. I do have some great photos to post--eventually---from clients and from my trip to Florida. I do want to post one pic of a baby planner--Everett--he is best known as "that baby on the saddle". I just thought it was so summer-y!
I know that everyone is waiting on their pics, and I will address some of those people directly, but I thought I could just post something for those who check my blog....
When I got home from Florida, my computer would not turn on. I sent it off and it took a week to get it back. It worked for 2 days, and started having problems again. It officially quit working again last night.
Now, this does not mean that I lost anyone's pictures--I haven't--I am religious about backing everything up. What I do have a problem with is that I sent everyone a CD with some of their pics before I left--that is what I lost--the work I already did. So, I have to start completely over.
So, I know that everyone has been super patient already, but I am sure that you all realize that I am working hard to get it fixed ASAP. I even missed the deadline for the advertisement that I paid for--so I may not have an ad out next month afterall.
At this point, I really just want to throw the computer out the window.
If anyone has any questions (other than "when will my CD be ready") then please call me. 469-955-4922 As for a blanket answer for the above question: I do not know. I am doing my best. I have to start over on 12 entire CDs and that takes time. All I can think of to do is offer those waiting an ungodly amount of time some sort of incentive to use me again. The computer should be fixed sometime this weekend/early next week--I had an IT guy here til 10 last night. I WILL get those pictures done and out--it is just going to take some time and for that, I am very sorry.
